BANANA SPLIT PIE 
1 (9") pie shell
1 pt. strawberry ice cream
3 bananas
1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
Chocolate fudge sauce
Chopped nuts (opt.)
Maraschino cherries (opt.)

Bake pie shell until golden brown; cool. Meanwhile, let ice cream soften. Slice bananas into cooled pie shell and spread ice cream over bananas. Freeze 1 hour. Then top with Cool Whip. Freeze for at least 1 hour. Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving. Cut into 6 pieces. Serve each piece with heated chocolate fudge sauce. For a special treat, garnish with chopped nuts and a maraschino cherry.
