CREAMY VANILLA ICING 
2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

In a saucepan, stir flour and milk together and cook, stirring often, over medium-low heat until the mixture thickens to a paste. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, beat butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla until light.

Stir in flour and milk mixture; beat until creamy.

Recipe makes enough to frost a 9-inch two layer cake.

Store in refrigerator after applying to cake.
