FRESH PEAR CAKE 
2 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. cooking oil
2 1/4 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans
4 c. chopped pears

Beat together eggs, oil and sugar. Sift together flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda. Add to first mixture. Add all above ingredients together and mix well. Then add chopped pecans and chopped pears. Mix everything together by hand.

Bake in Bundt pan (greased) for 1 hour at 350°F. If you desire, an icing, use the standard Cream Cheese Icing.

Cream Cheese Icing:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
1 stick soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar

Mix together thoroughly and frost.
