PICKLED OKRA 
1 tbsp. dried dill seed
1 pod garlic, chopped
2 sm. pods red hot pepper
1/8 tsp. alum
1 c. white vinegar
2 c. water
1/4 c. salt
1 tsp. mustard seed

Pack okra in jar (or jars). Mix your dill seed, chopped garlic, alum, mustard seed and whole peppers in with okra. Mix vinegar, water and salt; bring to a boil. Pour over okra until jar is filled over top of okra. Seal tightly and set aside for at least 2 weeks for best flavor.
