PICKLED OKRA OR SNAPS 
4 c. vinegar
4 c. water
1/3 c. salt
6 lbs. snaps (8 pints)
2 lbs. okra (5 pints)
Fresh garlic for each jar
1 tsp. dill seed for each jar
1/8 tsp. red pepper for each jar

Heat to boiling the first 3 ingredients. Pre-cook snaps in liquid 10-15 minutes. Do not cook okra. Place in jars with 1 garlic clove, dill seed and red pepper. Pour liquid in jar. Seal. Let stand 1 week before serving.
