EGG CUSTARD PIE 
1 unbaked 9" pie crust
4 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. scalded milk

Beat eggs slightly in medium size bowl. Stir in sugar, salt and vanilla. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Pour mixture through coarse strainer into prepared crust. Bake in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes longer or until knife inserted near center of pie comes out clean.
