TURTLE CAKE 
1 box German chocolate cake mix
14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
1/2 c. or 1 small can evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter
1 c. pecans
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour 1/2 batter into a Pam-sprayed 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake for only 15 minutes. In top of double boiler over hot water, melt together caramels, milk and butter. Pour this over baked portion of the cake. Sprinkle the pecans and chocolate chips over the caramel mixture. Spread the remaining batter over this mixture.

Bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes.

(If you desire, before returning cake back to the oven, sprinkle 1/2 pecans on the top of the batter.)
