150 YEAR OLD LEMON PIE 
1 1/2 sticks butter
2 2/3 c. sugar
16 sq. saltine crackers, rolled fine and sifted
3 lemons, juice and rind
8 whole eggs, well beaten
1 lg. unbaked pie shell

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly with electric mixer. Extract juice from lemons after grating the rind of all of them. Add juice and rind and cracker crumbs to butter-sugar mixture. Add well-beaten eggs and blend well. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes until firm. Let cool to serve, but serve at room temperature.
