1 pkg. Pillsbury yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 cup for filling)
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 egg
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix until crumbly. Press into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until light golden brown. Pour filling over partially baked crust; sprinkle with pecans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until filling is set.

FILLING:

2/3 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Combine all ingredients; beat at medium speed 1 to 2 minutes.
