GERMAN APPLE CAKE OR BARS 
CAKE:

2 c. sugar
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon

Beat together then stir in with wooden spoon 4 cups apple pieces, finely chopped, 1 cup raisins and 1 cup chopped pecans. Pour into 10"x15" or 13"x17" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes for cake, 30 minutes for bars. (Use only 3 ounces cream cheese to "drizzle frost".

CAKE FROSTING:

6 oz. cream cheese
4 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. powdered sugar

FROSTING FOR BARS:

8 oz. cream cheese
6 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
5 c. powdered sugar
