REFRIGERATOR WHITE ROLLS OR BUNS | |
2 pkgs. active dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 1 1/2 c. milk, scalded 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt 6 c. sifted all-purpose flour 2 eggs Soften yeast in warm water. Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup flour and beat well. Beat in yeast mixture and eggs. Add remaining flour. Mix well. Place in greased bowl, grease surface and cover. Will keep in refrigerator. Shape in rolls or loaves and let rise to double in size (about 1 1/4 hours). Will make about 32 medium rolls or 3 loaves. |
