SPANISH RICE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
1/3 c. diced green pepper
2 c. Minute Rice
1/4 c. bacon drippings or butter
2 c. hot water
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
Pepper to taste

Brown ground beef in bacon drippings. Add onion, green pepper, and Minute Rice and saute until limp. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
