LENTIL-RICE DISH 
1 c. lentils, sort and rinse
1 c. rice
4 1/2 c. chicken broth
1 med. onion, sliced
Crushed garlic, 2 cloves
1 lg. can whole tomatoes, chopped

Saute onion in olive oil. Set aside. Cook lentils in broth until tender (about 1/2 to 3/4 hour). Add uncooked rice, 1/2 teaspoon allspice, whole tomatoes, 1 teaspoon salt and onion and cook until rice is done, stirring often. Serve with salad or green vegetable.
