WHEAT GERM SODA 
2 c. wheat germ
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 tbsp. caraway seed
1/4 c. oil
1 3/4 c. buttermilk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine wheat germ, flour, soda and powder, salt, raisins and caraway seeds. Mix well with hands. Add oil and buttermilk and mix. Dough will be sticky.

Divide dough in half and shape in mounds in 8 inch greased layer pan. Make crosswise cut in top of each loaf with sharp floured knife. Bake 40 to 45 minutes.
