ITALIAN SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
6 (2 1/2 oz.) cans tomatoes
2 cans tomato paste
3 bell peppers
3 or 4 bay leaves
4 cloves garlic, crushed or chopped
4 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. sugar
Salt & pepper to taste

Put tomatoes and paste in big pot to boil. Brown beef in heavy brown skillet. Add to tomatoes. Brown onions, put into tomatoes. Add bay leaves and garlic and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 6 hours. Do not boil - just simmer or sauce will be too thick. Makes 5 pounds spaghetti. Serves 30.
