4 tbsp. oil or bacon drippings
2 onions, chopped
3 lg. carrots, diced
3 long stalks celery, diced
1 lg. potato, diced
2 heaping tbsp. flour
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. dried parsley
4 to 5 c. or more of soup stock (from beef or chicken)
Chopped meat from the stock
1 med. can tomatoes, whole or crushed
1 can chick peas
1 can cannelini beans
1 can red kidney beans
1 c. frozen peas
1/2 c. corn niblets
1/2 c. lg. pasta for soup
1 clove of minced garlic
