CARAMEL LAYER COCO-SQUARES 
14 oz. pkg. light caramels
1/3 c. milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter (then melt)
1/3 c. milk
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
16 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Melt caramels and 1/3 cup milk. Combine dry cake mix, butter, milk and nuts. Stir until dough holds together. Put dough into well greased 13x9 pan. Bake for 6 minutes.

Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust. Spread caramel mixture over chocolate pieces. Crumble rest of cake dough over caramel layer. Bake 15-18 minutes. Cool in refrigerator.
