PLANTATION CASSEROLE 
2 c. cooked ham, chicken or beef
1 1/2 c. cooked peas, drained
1 (16 oz.) can cream style corn
1/4 lb. processed American cheese
1 c. evaporated milk, divided
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. biscuit mix
1/2 c. corn meal
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten

Mix meat, peas, corn, cubed cheese, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, onion and Worcestershire sauce. Pour into greased 12 x 8-inch baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until mixture is bubbly around edges.

Combine biscuit mix, corn meal, sugar, salt and beaten egg. Add remaining milk and mix well. Pour around edges of hot meat mixture, leaving center uncovered. Bake 20 minutes longer.

Yield: 6 servings.
