GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
2 pkg. frozen French cut beans
2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms
1 sm. onion, chopped and cooked clear
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. liquid, milk or cream added to mushroom juice
1/2 lb. cheese, grated
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1/2 c. almonds, chopped
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, halved

Melt flour and butter; add liquid and then all the rest of the ingredients, except beans, nuts, and chestnuts. Put in casserole and sprinkle with almonds. Allow 35-40 minutes to heat in oven if casserole is cold. May be frozen without nuts.
