SAUSAGE, CABBAGE AND APPLES 
5 tart apples, sliced
1/2 head firm green cabbage, shredded
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 lb. sausage patties

In greased baking dish, alternate layers of cabbage and apples. Brown sausage patties. Place patties on top of casserole. Pour all sausage drippings out of pan except 2 tablespoons. Add vinegar to pan and bring to boil. Pour over baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with a mound of mashed potatoes.
