FRENCH DRESSING 
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar (optional)
dash white (or black pepper)
1/2 tsp dry mustard
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup olive oil or vegetable oil
1/4 cup red wine or favorite vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs
1 1/2 tablespoons chili sauce or ketchup

Combine all ingredients in a tightly covered jar and shake or blend. Store for up to one week in refrigerator.
