DEEP DISH APPLE PIE 
6 to 8 c. of apples
2 c. of sugar
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 stick of butter
1/2 c. water
1 c. raisins, optional
1 c. chopped nuts, optional
1 (9 x 13 or 7 x 9 baking dish
Pie crust mix of your choice

Peel and slice apples. Rinse apple in warm water. Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl then pour into pie shell and bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes to 45 minutes until crust is brown.

Top crust can be one piece on criss cross design.
