GINGERED CARROTS | |
3 or 4 medium size carrots (about 1 lb.) 1/2 c. water 1/2 tsp. Mei Jen seasoning 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. butter Scrape carrots. Cut into julienne strips. Add water and Mei Yen. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes or just until tender. Add ginger, sugar, and butter. Cook for about 2-3 minutes longer, turning carrots carefully several times. Serve hot. Makes 4 servings. |
