MARBLE TOP DESSERT 
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple tidbits
1 pkg. (6 oz.) Jello lemon gelatin
1/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
1 c. whipped cream or Cool Whip

Drain pineapple, measuring syrup. Arrange pineapple in a single layer in 11 x 7 inch pan. Dissolve gelatin, sugar and salt in boiling water. Add cold water to syrup to make 3/4 cup; add to gelatin. Set aside 1 cup gelatin mixture. Pour remaining gelatin over pineapple in pan. Chill until firm.

Add 1 cup cold water to reserved gelatin. Chill until very thick. Then mix with whipped cream just enough to marble. Spoon whipped cream mixture over firm gelatin in pan. Chill until serving time. 6 cups or 9 servings.
