SANDWICH SPREAD 
6 red bell peppers
6 green bell peppers
6 med. size onions
Green tomatoes
4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. turmeric powder
1 sm. box ground mustard
Vinegar

Mix first 3 ingredients with enough ground green tomatoes to make 4 quarts. Mix together with 1 cup salt. Let stand overnight.

In morning, squeeze out of brine. Make salad dressing with 4 cups sugar, 2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon turmeric powder, 1 small box ground mustard. Mix with water to make a thin paste. Stir this into 2 quarts of boiling vinegar. Add tomato mixture, stirring all the time. Heat, but do not boil. Seal while hot. You may add hot peppers.
