1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour, or enough to thicken
1/2 c. Wesson oil
1 tbsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. buttermilk

Mix molasses, eggs, and oil, then sift dry ingredients into mix, add buttermilk and mix. Make about 5-6 thin layers. Spread each layer with apple butter.
