EVER--READY MUFFINS 
1 (15 oz.) box Raisin Bran cereal
3 c. sugar
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. alspice
2 tsp. cinnamon
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. shortening
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 qt. buttermilk
2 tsp. salt

Mix cereal, sugar, flour, soda, spice and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, shortening, vanilla and milk. Mix well.

Fill greased muffin cup 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Store batter in covered container in refrigerator (will keepp 6 weeks) and use as desired.
