BLACKBERRY JAM 
3 c. crushed berries
6 c. sugar

Make 1 recipe at a time. Pick and clean berries, wash. Bring berries to a hard boil. Boil 2 minutes. Add sugar, stir until dissolved. Let boil 1 minute over low heat. Beat hard 4 to 5 minutes with rotary beater. The jam will thicken with beating. Pour into hot sterile pint jars.
