BRATTONS CLAM CHOWDER | |
1 c. chopped onions 1 c. diced celery 2 c. diced potatoes Add juice from 2 cans minced clams, then enough water to cover vegetables; simmer 20 minutes or until tender. SAUCE: 1 qt. half and half 3/4 c. butter 1/2 tsp. salt Dash of pepper Melt butter to boiling, stir in 3/4 cup flour, salt, pepper. Add milk and stir until thick and smooth. Add cooked vegetables, 2 cans of clams. Season with sugar (about 2 teaspoons). Simmer |
