BREAKFAST COOKIES 
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. oats
1 c. shredded cheese
1/2 c. wheat germ

Beat together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Stir in oats, cheese and wheat germ. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire cooling rack. Store in loosely covered container in refrigerator or at room temperature. Makes 3 dozen.
