PASTIES 
4 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. lard
1/2 to 2/3 c. water

FILLING:

1 can cream of celery soup
1 1/2 to 2 lb. hamburger
2 1/2 c. thinly sliced potatoes
3/4 c. minced onion
2 tbsp. minced green pepper
1 c. thinly sliced carrots

Mix flour, salt and lard until crumbly. Add water. Roll out pastry dough in 6 inch diameter circle. Place on baking sheet. Mix together soup, hamburger, potatoes, onion, green pepper and carrots. Place on cup of this filling on lower half of pastry circle, fold dough over and seal with floured fork. Prick holes in pastry to allow steam to escape. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. makes 8 pasties.

NOTE: May be served with gravy or ketchup.
