1/4 c. safflower oil 1/2 c. honey 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract 4 c. old fashioned rolled oats 1 c. wheat germ 1 c. sliced almonds 1 c. hulled sunflower seeds 1/2 c. sesame seeds 1/2 c. whole wheat bran 1 c. roasted soy beans I add walnuts, rice, or oat bran. Heat first 3 ingredients in saucepan. Add remaining ingredients in large bowl and stir thoroughly. Spread on oiled cookie sheets. Bake in 325 degree oven about 15 minutes. Stir twice to prevent over browning. Store in airtight containers in a cool dry place. Makes about 2 quarts. |
