EASY BAKED SPAGHETTI 
1 lg. onion
1 clove garlic, minced
4 tbsp. shortening
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
2 c. water
2 cans tomato soup
2 tsp. chili powder
8 oz. spaghetti, uncooked
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated

Saute onion and garlic in shortening. Add beef and cook until light brown. Mix in water, soup and chili powder and cook a few minutes. Break spaghetti into greased 2 1/2 quart casserole. Pour on sauce and mix well. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Remove cover, stir. Add cheese to top; do not stir in. Bake another 15 minutes. (Prize winner in DeWitt, IA.)
