CORN BREAD | |
1 qt. warm water 2 pkgs. yeast (cake or dry) 4 tbsp. honey 6 c. yellow corn meal 2 c. unbleached or whole wheat pastry flour 1/2 c. oil 1 tbsp. salt Dissolve yeast and honey in water. Mix corn meal and flour together. Add oil and salt. Add yeast mixture all at once to corn mixture. Stir just enough to get evenly mixed. Put in greased baking dish, not too thick. Let rise half again. Bake at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes. |
