HARRIET'S ROCKY MOUNTAIN BRISKET 
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. crushed bay leaves
2 tbsp. liquid smoke
4 lb. brisket

Combine dry ingredients in bowl. Rub liquid smoke completely into meat. Place meat (fat side up) into roasting pan. Sprinkle dry ingredients on top of beef. Cover tightly. Preheat oven to 325°F.

Bake at 325°F for 4 hours. Scrape off seasoning; slice thin and serve.
