TEXAS CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE 
CAKE:

3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. oil
1/3 c. cocoa
1 1/2 c. water
3/4 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
1 rounded tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

TOPPING:

3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/2 lbs. confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

In bowl, mix flour and sugar. In saucepan, put butter, oil, cocoa and water. Bring to a boil; pour over flour mixture and mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and salt. Pour into greased 12"x15" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Immediately make topping as follows: In saucepan, melt butter, then add milk and cocoa. Mix and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and beat in confectioners' sugar. Put icing on cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
