TACO CASSEROLE
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
3/4 c. water
1 (15 oz.) can refried beans
2 c. shredded lettuce
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. chopped green chilies (opt.)
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips
Chopped tomato, sliced ripe olives, sour cream, taco sauce

1. Put meat into 2 quart glass casserole, cover with waxed paper. Cook in microwave oven 3 1/2 minutes on high or until meat is no longer pink; stir once. Drain fat.

2. Mix taco mix and water to meat; stir. Cover with a glass lid or plastic wrap. Cook in microwave 5 minutes at simmer; stir once.

3. Lightly grease bottom of a 2 quart baking dish. Spread refried beans evenly over the bottom. Sprinkle with lettuce, onion and chilies; top with meat mixture. Cover with waxed paper.

4. Cook in microwave 5 minutes at Bake, or until dish feels warm on bottom; rotate dish 1/2 turn once during cooking. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cook, uncovered 1 minute at Bake, or until cheese is melted. Garnish with tortilla chips. Serve with chopped tomato, olives, sour cream and taco sauce in separate serving dishes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
