FOOD FOR THE GODS 
1 c. chopped nuts
6 saltine crackers, crushed to crumbs
1/2 c. or more dates
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten separately
1 tsp. baking powder mixed with crumbs
1/4 tsp. salt

Cut or chop nuts and dates fine and mix with sugar. Add crumbs and baking powder, then yolks, then well-beaten whites of eggs. Bake in greased 8x8x2 inch pan at 300 degrees for 30 minutes; when cool, serve with whipped cream. Serves 8.
