COCONUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla or coconut flavoring
3 sticks butter
3 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
1 c. coconut

Combine sugar and butter; cream together. Add eggs, one at a time, beat after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder. Add milk and flour alternately. Add coconut and flavoring; mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours (may need to be baked a little longer). Be sure to grease and flour pans.
