DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE | |
1/2 c. shortening 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. flour 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 heaping tsp. baking soda 1 c. buttermilk 1 c. boiling coffee 1 tsp. vanilla Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla and then coffee. Bake in 2 greased and floured 9 or 10 inch pans at 350 degrees, about 30 minutes. |
