FRUIT NUT SQUARES 
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. light molasses
1/2 c. sour cream (thin)
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs. Add molasses and sour cream. Sift soda, baking powder and salt with flour and add. Then add vanilla, nuts and raisins. Spread in a 9x13-inch cake pan. Bake 15-20 minutes in a 375 degree oven.

FROSTING:

1 c. confectioners sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Spread while squares are warm. Cool; cut in squares.
