MOIST POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. granulated sugar
Pinch salt
6 eggs, room temp.
3 c. cake flour
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, beating well. Add flour and cream alternately. Beat thoroughly. Add vanilla. Pour into greased 10" tube pan or 2 loaf pans. Put in COLD oven at 325 degrees. Bake 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. Test. Remove from pan in 10 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
