SUSIE'S BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE 
CAKE:

1 box light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 sticks butter, at room temperature
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 c. undiluted evaporated milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1 stick butter

CAKE: Cream sugars, Crisco and butter, add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg. Mix well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately milk and dry ingredients. Mix together well. Mix in vanilla well and then stir in chopped nuts. Pour into a greased and floured tube cake pan. Bake at 325 or 350 degrees depending on how hot oven gets for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

TOPPING: Combine sugar, milk and butter and cook in boiler for 2 1/2 minutes and pour over cake. Delicious warm or days later.
