SPICY PUMPKIN CUPCAKES 
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 c. cooked pumpkin
1/2 c. all bran cereal

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and spices. Blend shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well.

Combine milk, pumpkin and all bran. Add to shortening mixture alternately with sifted dry ingredients, stirring only until combined.

Fill cupcake pans half full. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans and cool. When cool spread with powdered sugar frosting, if desired. Makes about 20 cupcakes.
