I used a hot sausage to make this recipe and served it with cornbread muffins. It was okay but not the best. It needs something else perhaps tomatoes and garlic?

Max, kielbasa has a completely different taste than sausage, especially authentic kielbasa-it contains a lot of garlic and has a lot of flavor. That's why yours tasted bland

We love this recipe and it is a standard dish for the holidays. The potatoes soak in the flavor of the kielbasa. Can't wait to make it again!
