BEEF WITH BURGUNDY | |
1 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. thyme 3 lb. bottom round steak 2 tbsp. cooking oil 2 lg. onion, sliced 1 lb. mushrooms, sliced 2 c. boiling water 2 beef bouillon cubes 1 c. Burgundy wine Mix together flour, salt, pepper and thyme. Cut steak into serving size pieces. shake in flour mixture. Brown in oil, remove to 10 x 13 inch pan. To remaining oil, add onions and mushrooms. Mix together boiling water, bouillon cubes and wine. Pour over meat. Cover with foil. Bake at 325 degrees for about 2 hours. |
