DR. GRJ'S DO IT RIGHT FRENCH
TOAST
 
6 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. milk
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 loaf French bread, sliced 1" thick

Combine all ingredients (except bread) in bowl, adding milk last, to make a very thin batter.

Pour into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Add the bread slices, dipping one side and turn over. Shove them together. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.

30 minutes before baking, turn slices over once more. Bake on a griddle/skillet, 8-10 minutes per side. Serve with lots of butter and real maple syrup! (You'll never be able to eat any other French toast!)
