FRENCH TOAST 
4 eggs, beaten
1 1/3 c. milk
12 slices, day old bread
1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. orange rind
1/4 c. flaked coconut
1 tbsp. orange juice

Combine eggs and milk. Dip bread on both sides. Brown in frying pan on both sides. Set French toast on cookie sheets. In a bowl, blend butter with brown sugar; add orange juice, rind and coconut. Spread mixture over French toast. Just before serving, broil 3 inches below broiler until bubbly and nicely browned, about 1 minute. Makes 6 servings.
