BUTTER PECAN CHEWIES 
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. syrup
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans

Beat the eggs at medium speed with mixer until fluffy. Add brown sugar, melted butter and vanilla, mix thoroughly. Add syrup. Mix add flour, salt and baking powder. Mix. Fold in pecans. Pour into greased baking pan. Do not overcook because they dry out. Cut into squares.
