APPLE BARS 
2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 egg yolk (beaten)
4 c. apples
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. flour

Cut butter into flour as for pie crust. Add milk and egg yolk. Divide into two balls. Roll one and lay in 10 x 15 inch pan. Add apples etc. and cover with other crust. Bake 400 degrees 35 to 40 minutes. Spread with powdered sugar and lemon juice glaze.
